Pendulum Art #1

#123
Students of Hideko's Japanese Kindergarten and 1st Grade Class

Science and art come together to create this gorgeous piece of art made by the students of Hideko's K/1st grade class.  The students used a swinging pendulum to create the artwork.  As the pendulum swung, it followed an elliptical path and the paint allowed the students to see the path the pendulum was following and they could then experiment with how they could alter the path of the paint.

This piece includes 4 separate canvases measuring 12" x 16" for a combined size of 24" x 32".
