Spend four days and three nights rafting and fishing on the beautiful Deschutes River with ISP's very own Steve Borcherding! The trip involves rafting down 54 miles of the Deschutes canyon with some of the best trout fishing in the state and awesome scenery and wildlife viewing.
Steve has over 20 years experience doing this trip and fishing this particular stretch of the river. The timing of the trip is your choice: April and May are famous for the Salmon Fly hatch which provides awesome dry fly fishing for resident Redside Rainbow trout! October and November are great for Steelhead Trout on skated or swung flies. Not into fishing, but want to raft and view wildlife? Other times of year are great for that purpose! The trip can emphasize fihing or floating and sightseeing at the discretion of the winner.
Included in this trip: transportation to the put in and take out from Portland, raft and accessories, fishing gear as needed, fishing instruction and tips as needed, main meals, a large tent along with chairs, tables, and other camp gear.
This trip includes some serious class IV white water and may not be suitable for children younger than ten years of age. Steve is willing to discuss this with you.
